Clinical Engineering and IT Leadership Symposium: Critical Ingredients for Medical Device Connectivity
Transformation best describes the current state of medical device connectivity. This symposium will address the critical factors of transformation including: current trends, people, human factors, quality concerns, management processes, unintended consequences, and where the future will take us.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Assess current and future medical device adoption trends, including integration with EMRs, and connectivity
- Design a road map for clinicians demonstrating how technology plays a growing role in our ability to deliver tomorrow's patient care
- Explain the benefits of adopting technology management guidelines and a human factors approach to systems of medical devices
- Utilize the critical factors that clinical engineering and biomedical professionals must embrace to be ready for tomorrow
