Call for Posters
Share Your Research, Shape the Future of Healthcare Innovation
You’re invited to submit a proposal to present a poster at the HIMSS27 Global Health Conference & Exhibition.
The conference will be held from Monday, April 5 to Thursday, April 8, 2027. If your poster is selected, it will be displayed in tandem with the HIMSS27 conference. Poster presenters may be required to attend specific events during designated times to engage with event attendees and answer questions regarding the poster being displayed. Please reference the eligibility criteria below.
Posters may be research-oriented or evidence-based, and relevant to healthcare IT professionals, clinicians, and digital health innovators. They may include health information technology, interoperability, telehealth, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital health solutions. Posters may be a summary of research findings or a review of current evidence-based recommendations for clinical applications that are pertinent to healthcare professionals advancing the future of health and technology.
The deadline for electronic submission is 5:00 PM EST Sunday, October 11, 2026. All authors will be notified via email on or by December 31, 2026.

Presenter Registration
One author/presenter of an accepted poster will receive comped registration to the HIMSS27 Global Health Conference & Exhibition.
Author/Presenter must not currently be serving on the HIMSS Board of Directors or any HIMSS Advisory Boards.
Author/Presenter must be able to provide a .pdf final copy of their poster by Monday, March 12, 2027.
Poster Submission Limit
Each author may submit up to two posters but can be listed as a co-author on additional submissions. Authors involved in more than two submissions may only present two accepted posters. For additional accepted submissions, another group member must register, with a limit of two posters per registered presenter.

HIMSS GHC accepts abstracts that have been presented at other medical conferences
Poster Requirements
- Title of poster
- Author list and affiliations (in desired printed order)
- Corresponding author and email
- Full structured poster (1,100 words max):
- Background: 200 words
- Purpose: 150 words
- Methods: 200 words
- Results: 350 words
- Conclusions/Implications: 200 words
- Keywords
- Funding/Acknowledgements:
- Indicate if research funding was received.
- Disclose if editorial support was provided for writing the poster.
- Note if the poster was submitted elsewhere for transparency (e.g., "If you have previously presented your work/data as a poster at another conference, list this under your Acknowledgements section.").
Formatting Notes
Do not include tables, charts, or graphs in the abstract submission (these can be added to the poster).

Student Submissions
Student authors are welcome and encouraged to submit. Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of the 2027 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition.
If you use an AI tool to assist with developing your poster, please disclose the following information:
• AI/Platform name
• How the AI tool was used in the poster
Should your proposal be selected, as a poster presenter, you will receive:
• Professional visibility
• One (1) complimentary registration to the 2027 Global Health Conference & Exhibition*
• Opportunity to receive an award onsite
*The complimentary registration is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other discounts. The complimentary registration cannot be used for future conferences or other HIMSS events. Please note that several authors may contribute to the poster session, but only one (1) complimentary conference registration will be granted per poster session. If multiple authors are presenting, the authors will need to determine who will receive the complimentary registration.
